Outside my window… the day is sunny, but the air is crisp. Ahhh… Autumn.

I am thinking… about the crazy dream I had last night. All the comic book superheroes were battling an army of Samurai. The Green Lantern got the bright idea that they could win by challenging the Samurai to a game of checkers… Yeah, my subconscious is a weird place to hang out.

I am thankful for… a good start today, and kids still excited for tomorrow.

From the learning rooms… today was New Book Day! We had a wonderful day, and a great start! Trying some new things, and keeping some of our old favorites too.

From the kitchen… the kids’ favorite casserole for lunch, and cupcakes to celebrate. Tonight I’m trying out a new biscuit recipe.

I am wearing… jeans, blue t-shirt, and still hanging on to my trusty purple crocs. I’ll have to switch to socks and regular shoes soon.

I am creating… dishcloths and some quilting projects for Christmas. Trying to plan ahead for the holidays.

I am going… to be at home smoothing out the bumps in our new schedule this week.

I am reading… Unseen by John Hileman. I finished an economics book that I had to review, so now I can read something fun!

I am hoping… that we have an enjoyable, but still productive week getting back into our learning “groove”.

I am hearing… Little Guy running back and forth between his siblings and Auntie. He sure loves the attention.

Pondering these words… “The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government.” – Patrick Henry

Around the house… windows are staying closed at night because it’s getting chilly.

One of my favorite things… is a hot cup of tea in the morning. I’m glad that it’s hot tea weather again.

A few plans for the rest of the week: just getting back into the swing of things and trying to keep up with the laundry
