Outside my window… it’s dark and cold. Seems weird that the sun starts setting in the middle of the afternoon now.

I am thinking… about whether to get some more computer stuff done or gift knitting done after the kiddos go to bed tonight.

I am thankful for… a coal stove keeping us toasty warm on a very cold night.

From the learning rooms… we are starting our Christmas unit study, and our last two weeks of “regular stuff” before vacation!

From the kitchen… I tried out a new recipe for lunch today, Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta. It was pretty good, and with a few tweaks next time it will be even tastier.

I am wearing… jeans, a navy t-shirt, pink fleece jacket, and fuzzy socks.

I am creating… mittens and socks for the kids’ Christmas stockings.

I am going… to dig out the nativity set this week, but I need to figure out where to put it. Toddlers and breakables don’t mix well!

I am reading… The Warrior for a review.

I am hoping… that Little Guy doesn’t take every ornament off the tree. I forgot how hard it is to teach a little one that all the pretty, shiny things are not to play with!

I am hearing… kids chattering around me. Their conversations are truly hilarious at times!

Pondering these words… “The one who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. The one who walks alone is likely to find themselves in places no one has ever been.” – Albert Einstein

Around the house… I had to fix the handle of my tea kettle that came off. A bolt and nut later, it might not be pretty, but it’s put back together!

One of my favorite things… is toddler giggles. Guaranteed to make anyone smile.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Time to find the size 18 month clothes for Little Guy. I should probably have marked the sizes on those boxes of kids clothes…
