Outside my window… rain and LOTS of blue jays!

I am thinking… that typing is slightly more challenging when there is a baby in your arms. Also, that you can’t beat Monsterpiece Theater with Alistair Cookie when you need a spot of humor in your day!

I am thankful for… baby snuggles and hugs from kiddos.

From the kitchen… we’re in quick-meals mode for now. Good thing that summer is coming. Bring on the sandwiches, burgers and salads!

I am wearing… grey pants and a pink t-shirt featuring Snow White and declaring, “I’m the fairest of them all!” (But, I think Munchkin easily gets that title in our house!)

I am creating… summer dresses for Munchkin. It’s so hard to find decent dresses for little girls once they are out of the toddler sizes. I’m so thankful that my Mom and great-aunts taught me to sew and let me use their sewing machines when I was a girl. It’s a skill that has been so useful to me over the years! Not to mention the wonderful memories of sewing with them!

I am going… to a wedding this weekend.

I am reading… Frog and Toad books to the kids this week. I did get out a book from my reading list last night, but wound up watching Doctor Who instead.

I am hoping… to see more yellow warblers at the bird feeder. They are so pretty! We are all really enjoying the bird feeder that we were gifted at Christmas!

I am hearing… a slightly fussy Little Guy. It’s just that time in the evening…

Pondering these words… “And I’ll be honest, when someone has the nerve to ask me in a questioning tone, ‘What do you do all day?’ I’ve decided that this will be my forever answer: ‘I’m a mom. What’s your superpower?'” – Kristen Welch, from her book, Don’t Make Me Come Up There!

Around the house… is it sad that I’m excited to have actually cleaned off a desk and gotten a load of laundry done today?

One of my favorite things… Schwan’s coffee ice cream. Nobody makes coffee ice cream better than Schwan’s. Mom would totally agree with me on this one.

A few plans for the rest of the week: I’m planning to finish sewing Munchkin’s dresses, and hopefully finding time to get a haircut. Seriously, I’m beginning to resemble a mop.
