Outside my windows… the kids and I saw a robin this weekend, so spring is definitely coming!

Inside my house… I’m dreaming of turning a closet into my own little reading nook. I’d love to turn that into my summer project, but we’ll just have to see how busy things get.

Counting 1000 gifts… a non-squeaky dryer! I’m very thankful that the problem was a fixable one!

Prayers of the heart… for loved ones who are dealing with health issues this week.

What the (not quite so) little ones are up to… it’s a cold and rainy afternoon, so they are having some grand imaginary adventure inside today.

From my playlist… it’s a mix of opera and Backstreet Boys today. My music collection is eclectic to say the least!

From my reading list… I’m taking a break from the nonfiction reading and re-reading MaryLu Tyndall’s Red Siren. Pirates! Adventure on the high seas!

From my needlework basket… a baby hat with some small yarn samples that I just had to knit something with. Baby knitting is always fun, and I really do need to replenish my baby gift stash.

In the learning room… One of the books being read this week is also one that a certain Munchkin couldn’t resist when it arrived in a book order last year. I asked her if she would be bored reading it again, but she quickly assured me that it was a good read.

Random ramblings… If you’re ever in the market for appliance parts, check out Parts Select. (Nope, they didn’t pay me to say that!) What I really loved about their website were the videos that made replacing the worn out parts on my dryer so easy that I was able to do it myself. And I love being able to say that I fixed my dryer… It sounds like I know what I’m doing, even if my screwdriver is purple and has flowers painted on the handle!

Profound ponderings… “We were together. I forget the rest.” – Walt Whitman

Caught on film…

Up close and personal with the inside of my dryer! #partsselect #diy
