Thoughts for Tuesday, January 3rd

Outside my windows… sits a pile of snow…

Inside my house… I have a new desk area in the dining room!

Counting 1000 gifts… visits from out of state cousins.

Prayers of the heart… that I start this year off well.

What the (not quite so) little ones are up to… frolicking in the snow piled up in our back yard.

From my playlist… Do You Hear the People Sing? from Les Miserables.

From my reading list… A Real Piece of Work by Chris Orcutt and Make it Happen by Lara Casey. I’m hoping to get them both finished this week now that we are past the holiday busy season.

From my needlework basket… a scarf for myself in shades of purple and grey.

In the learning room… Our first week back after winter break! It’s had rough patches, but then you have something like our science experiment today with magnets that reminds you that teaching really does have fun moments.

Random ramblings… Anyone else watching the new episodes of Sherlock? The one that aired on January 1st was quite good in my opinion. I enjoyed the reference to “The Adventure of the Six Napoleons” from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s original stories.

Profound ponderings… “You can’t do anything about the length of your life, but you can do something about its width and depth.” – Evan Esar

Caught on film…

My new desk area! It's small, but it's by a window!!! #workingfromhome #writingspace
