Outside my windows… there’s a little more snow on the ground than yesterday.
Inside my house… mittens, hats, and snowsuits are drying by the stove.
Counting 1000 gifts… thankful for the coal stove to be sure!
Prayers of the heart… for hurting friends, and safe travels for loved ones.
What the (not quite so) little ones are up to… Munchkin is sewing a mini Christmas stocking for her gerbil, and the boys are playing with LEGOs in the living room.
From my playlist… I’m enjoying Christmas music. Once upon a time, I would have never expected to hear myself saying that!
From my reading list… Make It Happen by Lara Casey. It looks like an interesting read!
From my needlework basket… bits of Christmas knitting. Lots of mittens!
In the learning room… We’re officially on our winter break, but there’s still plenty of learning going on! Most of it disguised as fun projects or seasonal reading!
Random ramblings… Well, I finished the first draft of my novel. A lot of it is pretty bad, but I still think that there’s something there worth working on. And so the new year will bring editing and re-writing. Even knowing just how much hard work is ahead of me, I can’t help but feel a bit of a thrill when I hold my printed out copy in my hands. I’m also thinking about what to write next…
Profound ponderings… “Quantity produces quality. If you only write a few things, you’re doomed.” – Ray Bradbury
Caught on film…
I'm letting it sit for the month of December, then it's off to editing. It's an odd thrill to hold all of these pages in my hand and realize that I wrote it. Thank you #nanowrimo2016 and writing buddy Andy for giving me the push I needed to do this. Most of all, thank you Aaron for being so patient and encouraging for the past month. You never once complained about the laundry or dishes piling up. I could never have finished without your support! Now, I'm off to fold some clothes…
