Outside my windows… ice and snow.
Inside my house… last minute wrapping and cooking this week. I’m trying to spread out my baking throughout the week so I’m not swamped with it on Friday!
Counting 1000 gifts… midnight drives around the circular driveway with my IT staff!
Prayers of the heart… for wisdom. I’m looking back on 2016 and also ahead to 2017. It’s good to re-assess and decide what it working and what should change.
What the (not quite so) little ones are up to… they’ve taken some short jaunts outside, but it’s too cold to stay out for too long!
From my playlist… Trans-Siberian Orchestra Christmas albums have been playing in my earbuds today.
From my reading list… Still working my way through Make It Happen, and I’m also starting on my 2017 Powersheets. (Also from Lara Casey.) I’m excited to be doing some real goal setting for the coming year!
From my needlework basket… last little bit of my Christmas knitting projects. I’ve got a bulky sweater for myself in progress, though I don’t think I’ll be wearing it on Christmas.
In the learning room… We’re halfway through our December break, and it’s gone by so fast! Next week I’ll be working on getting things geared up for getting back to studies just after New Year.
Random ramblings… I’ve been watching an interesting documentary series by Oliver Stone about US History. It’s interesting to see a different perspective on events and hear about some of them for the first time. I’ve certainly found a few things that I want to read more about. What I find most interesting though, are the repeating themes and patters that are all throughout history. I guess there really isn’t anything new under the sun.
Profound ponderings… “To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist.” – Oscar Wilde
