Slight Detour

I’ve been somewhat absent from my blog for a while. I may not be blogging as much as I’d like in the next month or two either. There are a few reasons for this, but the primary one has been my health. I finally did what I should have done from the beginning, and went to see a chiropractor a week ago. After spending some time talking with me and going over the results of a symptom survey, he determined that the root cause of my health problems is stress. Or, more accurately, my lack of effectively dealing with stress. I am living proof that stress will make you sick.

So I have four different supplements to take. Each of them can help with a number of things, but all have “Nervous system balancing” listed as a benefit. Oh yeah, I’m crazy…

My journey has taken yet another unexpected turn. Now I’m on a bit of a detour to learn how to live with the myriad of things that life has thrown my way in the past 14 months. I really don’t know how to move past surviving to living. But I have an idea of where to start…

“This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: ‘In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.'” — Isaiah 30:15

“But you would have none of it.” If that isn’t me…

Time for me to repent, rest, find quietness, and learn how to really trust.
