I walked to the end of the field and back yesterday evening. I guess that I was looking for an answer; one I didn’t find.
Today, while working on organizing the office, I heard the song “In Christ Alone” sung by the Newsboys. I’d like to share the last verse with you.
“No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me;
From life’s first cry to final breath.
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.”
I may have my answer now, but I’m not completely sure. Regardless, it’s good for me to be reminded that my life is in His hands alone. And that’s something that no one can change.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 8:38-39 NIV
