Daybook for November 7th

Outside my window… the pond was partially frozen over this morning.

I am thinking… about Camo’s birthday and the cake pops that he’s requested.

I am thankful for… memories. No matter what I lose in this life, I still have the memories.

From the learning rooms… earth science and Patrick Henry.

From the kitchen… hot tea season has begun.

I am wearing… cardigans and fleece jackets in the house as of late. I’m like the crazy cat lady… without the cats.

I am creating… mittens for munchkins.

I am going… to get the mop on my head trimmed this week… hopefully anyway…

I am reading… actually, I’m trying to think of what I’ve read this week that doesn’t pertain to the kids’ lessons.

I am hoping… to get a writing project finished up this evening.

I am hearing… my very busy kiddos playing with dominoes.

Pondering these words… “The Lord hath prepared his throne in heaven, and his kingdom ruleth over all.” – Psalm 103:19 A timely reminder for me that HE is sovereign over all. Whatever may befall me, God has already made provision for.

Around the house… our coal stove is requiring more frequent tending. A sure sign that we are headed from fall into winter.

One of my favorite things… blueberry herbal tea. My Mother-in-law gave me a box, and it’s my current favorite!

A few plans for the rest of the week: Knitting more mittens! At some point, I really need to knit myself a pair…
