Daybook for November 21st

Outside my window… it’s cold and there’s a bit of ice on the edges of the pond, but the sun is shining!

I am thinking… about how fast 12 years has gone by, and about how much younger we all looked back then!

I am thankful for… November 27, 1999.

From the learning rooms… there will be a few fun Thanksgiving projects this week!

From the kitchen… the birthday cake for my IT staff was well-received.

I am wearing… jeans and a pumpkin orange sweater.

I am creating… a couple pairs of Maine Morning Mitts. This is absolutely my go-to pattern for fingerless mitts!

I am going… to take Munchkin to the dentist today and then we are done with checkups and routine visits for the rest of the year! (Then we have eye appointments for the oldest three after the new year…)

I am reading… huh… I think I’m only reading things for school and reviews… gotta find me a good book to read just for enjoyment!

I am hoping… that the Christmas tree fairy will come set up my artificial tree for me after Thanksgiving dinner. Yeah, probably not going to happen…

I am hearing… kiddos watching VeggieTales in the next room while the Little Guy practices his vocal repertoire.

Pondering these words… “A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms when his hands are empty.” – Unknown

Around the house… things outside are ready for winter, and I really need to dig up some plastic for the windows.

One of my favorite things… playing cards with the kids. I laugh so much more now that we have children!

A few plans for the rest of the week: Thanksgiving celebrations, Christmas tree decorating and a 12th anniversary.
