Daybook for November 19th

Outside my window… the sun is already setting and it’s only 3 in the afternoon!

I am thinking… about my to-do list for the week. Actually, I’m thinking that I probably should have a to-do list…

I am thankful for… grace. What greater gift can any of us be given?

From the learning rooms… the Charlie Brown cartoon about the Mayflower will be part of the curriculum this week. How can you have Thanksgiving without it?

From the kitchen… a lovely chocolate cake with still-melted chocolate chips and warm chocolate icing.

I am wearing… black pants and a pink t-shirt that hilariously proclaims, “I’m the fairest one of all”!

I am creating… knitted light sabers. Attempting it anyway for Christmas. If successful, they should be well-used by New Year’s.

I am going… to not make a whole turkey for Thanksgiving. Yup. Turkey cutlets and pan gravy at our house!

I am reading… stuff for review, and a myriad of other holiday-related things. None of which I can call to mind titles for at the moment.

I am hoping… that my IT staff has a nice birthday tomorrow.

I am hearing… kids running to and fro while the toddler munches on crackers.

Pondering these words… “Yes, I know I can’t sing. Yes, I’m going to keep singing anyway.” – Found on Pinterest, and it describes me to a T!

Around the house… the pond has frozen over and I think it looks like it will stay that way.

One of my favorite things… is hearing my Little Guy say, “Cracker?” How can I resist that?

A few plans for the rest of the week: Happy Thanksgiving!
