Outside my window… it’s still overcast and windy, but not raining. A bit of sunshine teased us this morning, but we eventually gave up and lit the coal stove.

I am thinking… about how frustratingly difficult it is to parent a toddler well.

I am thankful for… my toddler, and herbal stress-relief tea…

From the learning rooms… back at it today. When I made out my lesson plans I forgot that most people had today off. At least it turned out to be a pretty easy day!

From the kitchen… peanut butter chocolate chips cookies. Perfect for when you can’t decide whether to bake peanut butter or chocolate chip cookies.

I am wearing… black pants, a blue t-shirt, and a fleece jacket because this is Maine.

I am creating… a baby blanket for my gift stash. I needed something easy to knit that doesn’t require me to pay much attention.

I am going… to have to go back to store-bought dishwasher detergent. I love my homemade laundry soap, but I still haven’t found a good dishwasher detergent recipe.

I am reading… Ummmmm, what am I reading? Actually, I think I need to pick out something to read. It’s unusual to catch me between books.

I am hoping… that we have a few good days of sunshine today. The kiddos are anxious to get outside again.

I am hearing… races with various LEGO vehicles. The older kids are all creating their own race cars, or in Munchkin’s case, race hovercraft!

Pondering these words… “My first wish is to see this plague of mankind, war, banished from the earth.” –George Washington

Around the house… after a week of rain, the dandelions in the backyard are impressive. I should collect some of the greens to dry for tea.

One of my favorite things… a hot cup of tea and dove chocolate.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Just the usual, with a bit of writing and knitting thrown in. And tea. Lots of tea!
