Outside my window… the sunshine from yesterday is nowhere to be seen.

I am thinking… about a short story in the works. It’s an interesting little piece and I hope to be able to post it soon.

I am thankful for… running hot water and a washing machine. It makes mornings like this morning SO much easier.

From the kitchen… chocolate éclair squares and mac & cheese were on the menu today. (I linked to the recipes, so click on either of them to make them yourself!)

I am wearing… black pants and a charcoal t-shirt. I’m thinking about grabbing a sweater though as it is a bit chilly today.

I am creating… dresses! Zippers need to go in the two that I’m sewing and I’m nearly through knitting the bodice of the third dress. Munchkin will be very happy to have a few new dresses for the summer!

I am going… to take the Little Guy to his check-up this week. I’m curious to see how much he’s grown. He’s certainly getting taller and my back is telling me that he’s heavier!

I am reading… about swords. Yes, swords. Research for that bit of writing I’m doing.

I am hoping… to cross a few more things of the to-do list. The trouble is: most of the things on my to-do list (laundry and the like) are things that have to be done more than just once!

I am hearing… quiet at the moment, but I’m sure that will change any minute now…

Pondering these words… “Men want only the strong, the successful, the victorious, the unbroken, in building their kingdoms; but God is the God of the unsuccessful, of those who have failed. Heaven is filling with earth’s broken lives, and there is no bruised reed that Christ cannot take and restore to glorious blessedness and beauty…He can lift earth’s saddest failure up to heaven’s glory.” — J.R. Miller

Around the house… I did get to some vacuuming this morning! Starting to get a bit more done at times, but still adjusting to having a baby in the house again.

One of my favorite things… is mornings when I have a bit of time to spend with Aaron.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Sewing in zippers! Not my favorite part of the project. Still, it’s the last thing left on the dresses and I’m anxious to see them done!
