Outside my window… more snow! I guess Winter is “fashionably late” this year.
I am thinking… what it truly means to be a godly woman.
I am thankful for… the second half of John 10:10. “I am come that they might have life, and have it in abundance.”
From the learning rooms… introducing children to creative writing has some very interesting results!
From the kitchen… the bread machine has come out of hibernation, and I may once again be making a loaf of bread every couple of days. I have my Mom’s old standby bread recipes, but I’ve also found a few new ones that I’d like to try. The whole-wheat honey sandwich bread in particular looks quite tempting!
I am wearing… jeans, a grey top, and one of my favorite sweaters. Still pondering whether to replace my current, worn-out shoes with another brown pair, or the red ones…
I am creating… the wedding quilt gift still! Though I’m doing a fair bit of knitting as well. I’m working on a pattern that’s particularly enjoyable, but I must set it aside today and make some progress on the quilt.
I am going… to host and (in)RL meetup! I’ll be writing more about it later on, so keep watching for the details, and click the button on the side of my blog to register to attend!
I am reading… half a dozen different books! I have to have a few going in order to have something to read no matter what my mood is.
I am hoping… that we have nice, clear weather this weekend. I have to go shopping and I do not drive in weather if I can possibly avoid it!
I am hearing… I Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley. I know, that’s not at all the sort of thing you’d expect me to be listening to. What can I say? It was one of my Mom’s favorite songs and I guess it’s sort of grown on me.
Pondering these words… “You’re sad. You mourn the loss. But you don’t wear the black armband forever.” – Walter Schirra (This was a quote from the miniseries From the Earth to the Moon I’m not sure if the real Walter Schirra actually said it, but the quote really stuck with me and I’ve been thinking about it for a couple of weeks now.)
Around the house… a cat has been getting into the shed through a hole in the door where a pane of glass is missing. I felt quite industrious when I used old window screen and a stapler to make sure that the cat would not get back in through there again!
One of my favorite things… is laughing with my husband.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Quilting! Laundry! Breadmaking! Education! And all of the other stuff that goes on around here!
