Daybook for March 26th

Outside my window… snowflakes off and on and a turtle who keeps poking his head out of the pond. I’ll bet he’s confused by this weather!

I am thinking… about all of the writing I’ll be doing once I finish this post! I’ve been doing lots of writing, just not blog writing…

I am thankful for… ducks visiting the pond once again. I don’t know who enjoys looking for ducks on the pond more, me or the kiddos!

From the learning rooms… we’ll see how the new spelling workbook works out.

From the kitchen… the Scottish shortbread I baked yesterday is calling my name. I’m trying to ignore it.

I am wearing… jeans, white button-down shirt, and my coral tennis shoes. I love it when the snow melts and it’s dry enough for me to wear my tennies!

I am creating… well I’m done creating the wedding quilt and it went to the wedding with us this weekend. Now I’m working on socks and baby hats, just simple knitting for a while.

I am going… to take Little Guy to his 12 month check-up this week. I can’t believe that he’s almost a year old now! Where does the time go?

I am reading… Books to review! It’s sort of fun to have a “job” that requires me to read.

I am hoping… that we get some more of that fabulous warm weather that we had just a taste of last week. I know it’s really still winter, but going outside in short sleeves with no jacket was so nice.

I am hearing… 80’s music on Pandora. Yes, I’m really that old…

Pondering these words… “A smile is the most beautiful curve on a woman’s body.” – Unknown

Around the house… I keep looking for little green sprouts where the flowers grow. I know it’s early, but I enjoy watching for the first spring blooms.

One of my favorite things… baby giggles!

A few plans for the rest of the week: I still need to figure out what kind of cake to make for Little Guy’s upcoming birthday. It’s easier when they are old enough to just tell me what kind of cake they want!
