Outside my window… it’s a chilly morning, but the sun is bright and the sky is blue. So much snow has melted the past week. Maybe that means that spring is coming soon!
I am thinking… that I never realized that being a mother would mean plunging the toilet this often…
I am thankful for… family who are as happy about this baby as we are.
From the learning rooms… working on number words this week. This is what happens when you have a student who is further along in math than reading!
From the kitchen… my freezer is getting nicely stocked up. Maybe a few more casseroles will get added to the stash this week though. It’s nice to feel “prepared”.
I am wearing… the same black maternity pants that I’ve been living in the past couple of weeks. I’ve been changing into PJ’s in the evening and washing them so that I can use them the next morning because none of my other maternity pants are this comfortable!
I am creating… a few more knitted burp cloths. I have to put a buttonhole in the diaper bag that I made this weekend and then that will be done too. The pattern was just so cute that I could not resist!
I am going… to stick close to home for now. I’m just not feeling like wandering too far from my “nest”.
I am reading… a few light fiction books and some baby care books. I still have some book review reading to do, but I haven’t been able to concentrate on it very well.
I am hoping… and praying that this will be our best home birth yet. Labor is not my favorite thing, but I’m still looking forward to meeting my baby face to face!
I am hearing… kiddos building with their blocks in the next room. Nothing seems to be as versatile as legos and good old-fashioned wooden blocks.
Pondering these words… “For you have been my hope, Sovereign LORD, my confidence since my youth. From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise you.” – Psalm 71:5&6 NIV
Around the house… still “nesting” and getting ready for baby. I’m just trying not to overdo it!
One of my favorite things… home visits from my midwife and doula. After three births, we’ve gotten to know them and really enjoy visiting with them!
A few plans for the rest of the week: More baby preparations and trying to get in a few naps while I still can.
