Daybook for June 4th

Outside my window… it’s been rainy this weekend, but the plants are loving it!

I am thinking… that perhaps a second cup of tea is in order for today since it’s so drizzly.

I am thankful for… enough food in the cupboard so that my biggest dilemma is what to make for lunch.

From the learning rooms… we are going to attempt lapbooking. This makes me all kinds of freaked out. Look for a post about how it goes in a couple of weeks!

From the kitchen… Mom’s oatmeal bread recipe is being mixed up in the bread machine as I type.

I am wearing… black pants and a long-sleeve shirt because the rain is making it a bit chilly.

I am creating… Lego-theme stuff for Mr. Q’s birthday party next month. There are some really neat ideas out there on the internet!

I am going… to check out the new methods room at the Home Educating Family online convention! Take a look, registration is free!

I am reading… well, I’m in between books and deciding what to read next right now! Probably one of the two books that I’ve got to review.

I am hoping… to get a bit more caught up on laundry today. It sure piles up fast!

I am hearing… the boys playing in the living room and Munchkin designing an Olympic medal in the dining room.

Pondering these words… “Remember, you are not managing an inconvenience. You are raising a human being.” – Kittie Franz

Around the house… I have some new irises coming up! I planted the bulbs last fall and at least two of them are growing!

One of my favorite things… the smell of baking bread.

A few plans for the rest of the week: More reading about lapbooks for me, and probably writing a review or two.
