Daybook for June 20th

Outside my window… it’s a really beautiful day!

I am thinking… about Mr. Q’s upcoming birthday and various dentist/doctor visits for various people this week.

I am thankful for… the little baby feet kicking my arms while I type. (It’s a good think there is a backspace key!)

From the learning rooms… adding three numbers this week, and then on to multiplication. And I just noticed that I need to order my school planner SOON.

From the kitchen… Southern Pecan Praline Brownies… without the pecans. I discovered that I’m out of them, so it’s going to be a toss-up between using walnuts, or trying out chocolate chips.

I am wearing… denim shorts, a striped shirt and my “trusty purple crocs”.

I am creating… Little Guy’s scrapbook. The prints of his baby pictures came today! Having photographers in the family is so nice!

I am going… to have to get black icing coloring. Mr. Q’s birthday cake is a car, so black is needed for the tires. And wouldn’t you know it, but the local store is out of black.

I am reading… bits and pieces, but I’m working more on some writing than I am reading at the moment.

I am hoping… that certain things go well tomorrow.

I am hearing… kiddos playing in the next room. I only get worried when it gets real quiet.

Pondering these words… “The enemy can take no advantage but what the Lord permits him; and He will permit him none but what He designs to overrule for your greater advantage in the end.” – John Newton

Around the house… so much laundry! With a baby and potty training toddler in the house it sure piles up fast!

One of my favorite things… my kids’ birthdays. I’m not sure who gets more excited about it!

A few plans for the rest of the week: There will probably be some birthday present wrapping and maybe another practice cake. We’ll see.

  1. 🙂 It would be nice to be able to see you more often! 🙂 At least facebook lets me keep up with all of the people I don’t see often enough. 🙂
