Daybook for July 5th

Outside my window… it’s overcast, but something of a muggy day.

I am thinking… nope, sorry, my brain is just too tired to think.

I am thankful for… a washer and dryer! It makes the piles of laundry that I’ve dealt with this weekend MUCH easier to handle!

From the kitchen… um… peanut butter sandwiches?

I am wearing… denim shorts, an L.L. Bean t-shirt and my trusty purple, paint-splattered crocs.

I am creating… Mr. Q’s birthday sweater a bit late. I do have almost all of the pieces completed, and once I sew them up I can knit the hood.

I am going… absolutely, utterly, irrevocably crazy.

I am reading… VRIN, a book written by a friend. (I have a signed copy!) I promised a review of it on my blog, so I want to re-read it and have it fresh in my mind before I do that.

I am hoping… that work goes well and Aaron can come home soon! (We miss him terribly when he has to be away overnight!)

I am hearing… the air conditioner humming next to me, and thankfully, no one has yelled, “I threw up!” or “I had an accident!” for the past hour.

Pondering these words… “Now I know.” (Last line of The Elusive Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy)

Around the house… there are some really beautiful flowers blooming outside! My kids love to pick them for me!

One of my favorite things… comfy office chairs.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Plans? I haven’t thought that far ahead yet!
