Daybook for July 23rd

Outside my window… we’ve had rain and sun today… what do you think the chances of snow are, just to round things out?

I am thinking… about all of the ideas I want to try out with the kids this year. The education boards on Pinterest have some fantastic ideas.

I am thankful for… iced tea and A/C!

From the learning rooms… boxes of books!!! I’m not sure who gets more excited about new books and curriculum, the kids or me!

From the kitchen… bread came out of the oven a while ago. It’s been hot so I’m not cooking as much as I usually do.

I am wearing… denim shorts, blue t-shirt, and the trusty purple crocs.

I am creating… socks when I have a minute to knit, but ideas and planning for this fall are what I’m working on the most right now.

I am going… to make myself a nice mocha milkshake before the day is over.

I am reading… a lot of books at once. Back to Homeschool is one that I’m working through currently and really enjoying. A lot of good stuff to ponder.

I am hoping… to get a better handle on some of my scheduling before September. I’m trying to figure out the best way to make time for writing every day, and what time of day would be best suited for that.

I am hearing… Little Guy chattering away while he snacks.

Pondering these words… “Fear does not stop death. It stops life.” – Unknown

Around the house… the kids have been having great fun with the book boxes that have recently arrived. These boxes have been submarines, cranes, parking lots, ramps, and more!

One of my favorite things… is having the chance to write for a really remarkable website.

A few plans for the rest of the week: More planning, reading, writing, and of course laundry!
