Daybook for January 9th

Outside my window… it’s sunny today with just a bit of snow on the ground. It’s still definitely winter though!

I am thinking… and praying for dear friends who said goodbye this weekend to a loved one who was called home to Heaven. Praise God that we do not mourn as those who have no hope, but we still mourn the temporary parting.

I am thankful for… the grace of a truly great God.

From the learning rooms… subtraction with renaming for Munchkin. (They called it borrowing when I was in school.) And we are starting a new history curriculum!

From the kitchen… just homemade mac & cheese for lunch. The kiddos love it, and I figured that they could use some comfort food since they are all sick again.

I am wearing… jeans and a blue top with silver butterflies and rhinestones.

I am creating… a fuzzy pink sweater for Munchkin’s birthday.

I am going… to have plenty to keep me busy at home this week.

I am reading… When You Rise Up by RC Sproul Jr. about a covenantal approach to homeschooling. It’s a very good book, and I wanted to read it a second time.

I am hoping… for snow and washing machine parts to arrive this week!

I am hearing… Beyond by Aaron Jeffery.

Pondering these words… “Faith is deliberate confidence in the character of God whose ways you may not understand at the time.” – Oswald Chambers

Around the house… laundry may pile up, but it’s sort of nice to have a legitimate reason to let it slide for a few days!

One of my favorite things… the Home Educating Family review site! They post new reviews, giveaways, and discounts every week! Sign up for their e-mail list so that you don’t miss any of it!

A few plans for the rest of the week:
