Daybook for January 23rd

Outside my window… it’s nighttime.

I am thinking… about this Life of Fred math series that it seems all of my friends are talking about. I must investigate!

I am thankful for… time spent snuggling a sleeping baby.

From the learning rooms… trying out a few new things that you’ll be hearing about later on!

From the kitchen… I still have a love/hate relationship with my kitchen. Even my old-standby recipes aren’t coming out quite right anymore.

I am wearing… fleece PJs because after this post it’s time to get some shut-eye.

I am creating… a crochet kitty purse for Munchkin’s birthday… at least I hope it will look like a kitty when I’m done!

I am going… or rather I went… to the local homeschool group today. I always enjoy getting together with other home educating Moms!

I am reading… The Healer’s Apprentice. Just started it actually. It’s time for me to read a novel purely for the enjoyment of reading.

I am hoping… that the tentatively scheduled washing machine surgery tomorrow results in clean laundry.

I am hearing… a pretty quiet house as all four kiddos are sleeping peacefully… for now anyway…

Pondering these words… “Everyone you meet comes with baggage. Find someone who loves you enough to help you unpack.” – Unknown

Around the house… I’m still sorting and pondering what should go and what should stay.

One of my favorite things… the excitement of upcoming birthdays! I can’t wait to make a doll cake for Munchkin’s birthday next month!

A few plans for the rest of the week: The usual, with some appliance repair and a vet appointment thrown into the mix.

  1. I actually found the quote on facebook of all places! It made me think about how blessed I am to have someone who has helped me unpack a LOT!

My IT staff helped me get a new photo up and give the blog a “wintery” look. Of course, we didn’t get it done until after Christmas, but in this area there is still PLENTY of winter left! 🙂
