Outside my window… sunny with a bit of haze. It will probably be on the humid side today. Typical August weather.
I am thinking… that I need an infusion of caffeine!
I am thankful for… my kids enjoying their visits with Grandma and Grandpa so much. Last night as they were leaving, Camo said, “But I want you to stay here.” How sweet is that?
From the learning rooms… I am in the midst of going over fall curriculum. Mr. Q saw his math workbooks last night and can’t wait to get started!
From the kitchen… the Cookie Monster birthday cake was a big hit. But there sure was a LOT of frosting on that cake!
I am wearing… my PJs still because I tiptoed downstairs before the kiddos and even the German Shepherd!
I am creating… fabric yo-yos with Munchkin. It seemed like a good first sewing project for her.
I am going… to be doing something really fun with the blog next week!
I am reading… curriculum. I’m between books at the moment, but I have an idea or two about what to read next. For now, I’m skimming through curriculum.
I am hoping… to get some writing accomplished today or tomorrow.
I am hearing… the kids chatting over breakfast. It was very quiet up until about five minutes ago when they discovered that I was up and came downstairs looking for breakfast!
Pondering these words… “I have come to realize that you can’t live a fairy tale life, so I am writing one.” – Andrew Frodahl
Around the house… some re-arranging of furniture happened last week. Now on to getting our “school” shelves freshly organized.
One of my favorite things… the really cool book that Munchkin made for my birthday. I love the stories that she comes up with!
A few plans for the rest of the week: More sewing with Munchkin, and reading the book about Andre the seal that Grandma and Grandpa found for the kids.
