Mom used to say, “Better late than never.” Hopefully that applies to my daybook post as well!

Outside my window… the sun is shining. (But the ice is slippery.)

I am thinking… about drilling holes in my head to relieve some of the sinus pressure.

I am thankful for… the fact that I’m the one who’s sick, and not my precious kiddos! (Strange, I know, but every mother out there will understand!)

From the kitchen… boiling water and cinnamon have been on my stove a lot. The steam and cinnamon actually help your sinuses drain a bit.

I am wearing… black knit pants and a pink t-shirt with Snow White on it.

I am creating… fingerless mitts. I hope. I’ve ripped the first one out five times now. I’m on the verge of chucking it and finding a different pattern.

I am going… to dig through the boxes of kids clothes and try to find Mr. Q’s size 2 shorts for Camo to wear this summer.

I am reading… The Shadow and the first of the Percy Jackson books.

I am hoping… that the weather gets hot enough for the kiddos to swim now that the pool is up!

I am hearing… nothing out of my left ear for nearly a week! (I’m pretty sure that I’ve got my first ever sinus infection, and the first ear infection since I was about 5.)

Around the house… chaos still reigns for the moment. I really do plan to do something about that once we are all done being sick!

One of my favorite things… games of Rook with friends, and poker with my Aaron.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Trying out some Goldenseal to see if it will clear up this nasty infection. Pray that it does!
