Daybook for May 5th

Outside my window… the wind is a bit chilly, but boy is that sunshine nice!

I am thinking… about when would be the best time to plant the kids’ sunflowers. It’s been a strange year weather wise.

I am thankful for… good memories.

From the learning rooms… those new planners are sitting there so quietly, just waiting for July…

From the kitchen… we tried out a granola recipe yesterday with coconut, macadamia nuts, and dried pineapple mixed in. Delicious!

I am wearing… jeans and a purple ¾ sleeve top.

I am creating… the sweater… still. Though I did take a break and sew up a new dress for Munchkin this weekend. I’ll have to make a couple more for this summer.

I am going… to relax on the couch with a book and some chocolate once this post is finished.

I am reading… The Art of Relationship Homeschooling. I haven’t gotten too far through it yet, but I’m still enjoying what I have read.

I am hoping… that tomorrow is a little bit quieter than today has been.

I am hearing… brothers playing in the living room with cars and blocks. It always makes me smile to see my boys playing together.

Pondering these words… “There is only one way to avoid criticism: do nothing, say nothing, and be nothing.” – Aristotle

Around the house… my lilies and irises are starting to sprout this week! They are so beautiful when they bloom.

One of my favorite things… is seeing things start to sprout and turn green in the spring.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Just a typical week for us, with a bit of plant watching thrown in!
